Home at Last...

The last 6 weeks I (Sarah) have been living at a Young Life Camp in Asheville working my tale off and forgetting about the outside world. I count it such a blessing that I had 6 weeks with out cell phone reception, facebook, email, or my car...what?!? For the first time since I can remember I woke every morning to a beautiful sunrise, sat at a breakfast table to have great conversation, and enjoyed a hot cup of coffee while sitting in a rocking chair each morning (my personal favorite).

Most importantly myself and 49 other young adults spent 6 weeks loving each other and sharing the love of Christ with high school students everywhere. I always new I was passionate about the ministry of Young Life and I loved sharing the life I have found in Christ with high school kids but in the last 6 weeks Christ love came alive!! I realized what a joy and privilege it is to share the love of Christ with high school students that are hard to" like" sometimes because they are God's favorites!

Here are the lyrics to a song that I spent the last 6 weeks meditating on:

Never seen trees so tall
Never seen mountains at all
Now that I am here I can't stop my trembling hands
Never seen water so clear
Never seen people so fearless
Never have I felt so I alive

I don't want to cry now about where I've been
I just want to try now to start again

I want to tare off the roof top so I can see you in the sky
I want to catch every rain drop
I just want to live my life like it was meant to be

Change Me
Where I am
Change Me
Where I Stand

B G

Meet Braden or as many like to call him, BG. Ok so since I have been MIA for the last 7 weeks this post is way past due! Don't worry there will be more to come from my expeditions the last 6weeks.

Meet one of the most handsome and outrageously adorable 1 year olds I know. B G turned 1 in May and what better way to celebrate his birthday than with a photo shoot in his too cute for words overalls. Seriously, everytime I spend time with BG he brings such joy and laughter into life. The Gore family is very dear to my heart which made taking Braden's pictures so much fun! Enjoy :)
