Who We Are

What makes Eliza. different is that we add a personal touch to the photographing experience. We are all about capturing moments that would explain who you are, how you feel, and what you live for in just one glance. We meet you where you are, and find locations that we think would best represent your life and your interests. We truly love getting to know the people we photograph, so it is only fair that we let you in on a little bit of who we are as well.

I took it upon myself to add this photo of Sarah doing what she loves most, taken by yours truly. :) If you don't know Sarah yet, you should. She is one of those people that makes your day brighter just by being herself. She loves peanut butter and chocolate and is not very good at sharing dessert. She is a DREAMER with a capital D and I love that about her.
Now I (Sarah) would love to share a little bit about Lauren and who she is. Lauren has a passion for life, a desire to love others and a contagious smile that allows for others to come alive. Through the lens of her camera she is able to express her creativity and unique gift of photographing others. I have loved watching our friendship grow and Lauren becoming grounded in who she is. I love to dream big and I feel so blessed to have someone like Lauren who is willing to dream along side of me.

First Steps!

There is nothing better than the soft light of a summer evening! We love the cold weather, but sometimes we miss the days where the sun would stay out past five p.m. I love, love, LOVE this shoot because Madison was just learning to walk. She would fall down a lot, but always got right back up and never seemed discouraged. Madison is one of the most expressive babies I have ever met. A few months have passed since this shoot, and it is so much fun to see all of the new things that she has learned. She now knows where her nose is and points to it on command- although she points to the same place when asked where her ear is too, says HIIII!!!! to everything and everyone, and tends to lay down flat on her back and laugh in the middle of Target when wanting attention. You may notice her sticky-icky face in one of my favorite pictures. This was after I gave Madison a hard earned, caramel covered lollipop after our hour long shoot, and I just couldn't pass it up. Here is to wishing it was warmer, and lighter, and that we could all learn to get right back up after taking a fall. :)

Jada's First Christmas

We love to capture milestones of life, even the smallest ones! It was fun to capture Jada's very first Christmas looking absolutely adorable in her black and red velvet dress. After Jada got into something a little more comfortable, we headed outside to catch this lively one year old in action- enjoying the wonder of cold grass and fallen leaves. We loved Jada's fond attachment to the blue and gold Christmas ornaments, and how she loved to dance to her daddy's favorite music. We hope you enjoy some of our favorites!

Ivanowicz on Main St.

Doing the Ivanowicz family shoot on Saturday reminded me of all the reasons why I love the holidays. The downtown Davidson area definately made it easy to capture the holiday feel with the wreaths and vibrant colors and holiday shoppers parusing the boutiques. This family shoot was especially dear to us for many reasons, but one being that they can literally be worlds apart at times. What better way to create a lasting memory of precious time together than an Eliza. shoot? The sun decided to peak out at just the right time, and disappeared just moments after we had taken our last photograph. It was too perfect. So, there we were.. stopping traffic, causing a scene, and trespassing on front porches all to get the perfect shots of this beautiful family. We want to thank the Ivanowicz family for reminding us of the unique love and warmth that only family can give during this holiday season. We hope that these pictures will be just as much a blessing to you, as spending the morning with you was for us!
